Introduction

Closer Together, Further Apart was published in 2014. It was written by Robert Weiss and Jennifer P. Schneider. The authors' goals in this book were to study and interpret the effect of technology and the Internet has on "Parenting, Work, and Relationships." The basic idea of this book is to study how human created technology impacts the "nature of human communication, relationships, and thereby human evolution"(6 Weiss, Schneider).
